Copper is a beautiful material found in many household items like jewelry and pots. Over time, exposure to air can cause copper to tarnish, but you don't need harsh chemicals to restore its shine. Here are some natural and effective methods for cleaning your copper items:

Salt & Vinegar Method: Mix 1 tablespoon of table salt with 1 cup of white vinegar. Rub this mixture onto the copper using a soft cloth, then rinse. Alternatively, soak the tarnished copper in a pot of water mixed with the salt-vinegar blend, bring it to a boil, and simmer until the grime and stains are removed. After cooling, wash with soap and water, rinse, and polish with a soft cloth.

Ketchup Method: Use a small amount of ketchup to rub onto tarnished copper. This common kitchen sauce helps restore the metal’s natural shine. After applying, rinse and dry the copper item.

Lemon & Salt Method: For cleaning copper pots, dishes, and other less delicate items, cut a lemon in half, sprinkle salt on the cut side, and gently rub it onto the copper. You can also make a paste with lemon juice, equal parts salt, and non-oxidized cornstarch or baking soda.

Baking Soda Method: Combine baking soda with lemon juice to create a natural cleaner, or simply sprinkle baking soda onto a cloth and rub it onto the tarnished copper.

Pitambari Powder
Pitambari powder is a traditional and effective choice for cleaning copper products. Rub a small amount of this powder on the surface, then rinse with water. Dry the utensil with a soft cloth to maintain its shine.

Additional Tips:
After cleaning, always ensure your metalware is completely dried, preferably in the sun, to prevent any moisture from remaining. Cleaning copper utensils is straightforward with these simple household items. Enjoy using these beautiful pieces with confidence, knowing they are easy to maintain and keep in excellent condition.
